Family exercise plus avocado mango salad plus carrot juice
Posted by: | Comments
Here we are getting our exercise as a family. We jog, scooter, or bike everywhere. Good for me and good for the little ones. Hubby is in it just for our sake. He doesn’t need the exercise. He gets more than enough exercise as an ultra runner. My hubby is so fit and sexy. A hard body with abs to die for! I am still working on mine and so far have not lost a single centimeter nor a single pound. Hubby never ever told me in our whole married life that I am getting fat or I need to lose weight. He still thinks I am the hottest gal on the planet and always makes sure I know it:-). The more reason to dress the part. I dress most of the time for his pleasure.
All this exercising effort I am doing is mostly out of vanity and a little for health. I told hubby he should play on this vanity of mine to get me to exercise because the “for the sake of good health” reasoning isn’t as strong an incentive as wanting to be a hot momma.
I just want to be as skinny and buffed as I was , before I had kids. Just a shallow vain desire of mine for old times sake but it’s something I just have to do on my Bucket List. I just need to do it ‘cuz it’s important to me. I know my hard work will pay off and hopefully just as summer hits. Gotta get this body ready too for roughing it up camping and all the fun summer activities we love to do as a family. I need to be light and bouncy on my feet. I do know too that exercising and healthy eating will enhance quality of life. Read More→
Creative artsy headers by Daniel Tu of “Tu Design”
Posted by: | CommentsI am just so thrilled over my dream headers for this blog! Of the jumping up and down thrill level. Who wouldn’t be so proud of them when they were executed professionally by Daniel Tu, creative director/graphic artist/design principal of his company, “Tu Design”. Just the cream of the crop in the industry , and I had the privilege of working with him on these headers, seeing his brilliant work unfold right before my eyes. I never even imagined they would come out this artsy and cool. I had ideas on how I wanted them to look like and how I wanted them to capture the many sides of me, but only his creative touch could put them to life and create that look I wanted. The seamless superimpositions/layering of photographs that I envisioned. I couldn’t have asked for more! His work rocks! That’s all I can say! Check out TuDesign. He is way too cool!
To curl up with a good book and a ‘cuppa tea, ahhhh

“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.” ~ quote
If I hardly have time to comb my hair, when do you think I can even find time to watch TV? If I do watch TV, it has to be on dvr so I can fastforward the commercials, skip judges comments and go straight to just the singing. Talking American Idol here ‘cuz it’s the only show I watch regularly. Even that takes too much time so sometimes I watch the show days later. I never even bother to watch the following day’s elimination ‘cuz I can find out who got cut on yahoo news.
So speaking about books, I just took a look at the books scattered on my coffee table and couch. Being the bibliophile that I am, I just have so many, you can’t even see the table anymore!
If you take a look at our book inventory in our tiny condominium, you can tell readers live here.
Lets see what we got here on my table right now. This is a glimpse into my reading inclinations , showing an eclectic bent. These are books which are being read at the moment, as it suits the mood. They are mostly mine except for some we read out to the kids.
Here goes…
Almost French (French twist on a travel memoir—a love song to Paris and France , yes, but a love song in a minor key)
Word Press for Dummies ( for my blogging )
The Complete Guitar Course
Leading Little ones to God
Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats
French women don’t get fat
Awana’s Sparks Hiker Handbook ( the kids workbook for their kids bible club)
The Private World of Tasha Tudor ( I want to grow up to be just like her)

Raw ( a raw cookbook)
Letters to my Children- A father passes on his Values
Treasure Island ( Viking publication)
Living in Love with Jesus
Swiss family robinson
The Bible
Little visits with God ( children’s devotional book)

A couple Tea time magazines
A couple Victoria magazines

Now I am curious as to what other friends’ pile of books and reading material look like.
You only get just one time around…One ride, one try
Posted by: | CommentsIf you have ever lost someone very important to you, then you already know how it feels, and if you haven’t, you cannot possibly imagine it. — Lemony Snicket
My thoughts and tears are for my sister-in-law and her kids today , as they lay to his final resting place, a great father and husband and friend. In behalf of my sister-in-law for her husband who passed away suddenly, I quote , “If I can only be with you in my dreams, then I want to sleep forever.” “We always thought we’d look back on our our tears and laugh, but we never thought we’d look back on our laughter and cry.”
The finality of death is hard to understand. Some things you will just never understand. I will never complain about growing old and wrinkled ever again ‘cuz so many never even get the chance. Never forget yesterday, but always live for today… ‘cuz you never know what tomorrow can bring, Or what it can take away….
I mean there is only so much time to be alive but plenty of time to be dead. Which is why I am going to live life or die trying! Life is too short so… Live with intention .Take way too many pictures. Laugh harder . Play with abandon . Choose with no regret. Listen harder. Take chances. Say I love you. Sing out loud. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is. Love with all your heart.
As you know, I laugh to keep from crying. A quote I found that made me smile and says it all , “Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO- HOO what a ride!” None of the Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda.
“I have seen what a laugh can do . It can transform almost unbearable tears into something bearable, even hopeful.” Bob Hope

You only get just one time around .
You only get one shot at this
One chance, to find out The one thing that you don’t wanna miss
One day when it’s all said and done I hope you see that it was enough,
This One ride, one try, one life… To love…………
My Top Favorite Movies of All Time
Posted by: | Comments
They have an application on facebook that I did , which was “Movies you can watch over and over again”. It allows you just a measly “top 5″ and it was hard just limiting it to five when I at least have a hundred or so in my head as favorites.
They can lat least make it “Top 10″! It’s like asking a chef to list just 5 dishes he loves eating.
It’s in that light that I am listing here my top movie list favorites, and not according to rank. Eclectic taste in movies as you will see. These are movies I’ve watched throughout the years and have enjoyed for different reasons. Care to add a favorite to my list that you think I might have forgotten? These movies were just off the top of my head you see. I know I must have missed a lot more and have scratched only the surface of great movies to watch. I would love to be enlightened about the merits of such and such movies.
I noticed movies become more memorable to me when I recognize the place in a scene or it’s a a place I’ve always dreamed of visiting. I am partial to European settings and far away exotic places just because they’re so different from my little neighborhood
. It is for the same reason that I love historical drama ‘cuz I would love to wear all those costumes and be in those settings
. I may picture myself maybe as the leading lady exquisitely dressed is such pompous attire at a Victorian tea party, daintily sipping tea at a conservatory. Or in another movie, just the cook busy preparing for a feast for the eyes and taste buds, since I love cooking
. Being a foodie, I am drawn to scenes where they have food or cooking in them, and as I see those tables groaning with scrumptious fanfare, I can taste and savor the food and feel the ambiance.
I enjoy romantic comedies and comedies of all sorts, action movies of Bourne series calibre, inspirational movies (Cinderella man, Rocky) , movies about friendship, old classics, location shooting movies, historical drama, and movies with lotsa food scenes and travel scenes in them. I am also partial to movies that have these actors in them
: Keanu Reeves, Meryl Streep, Dermot Mulroney, Julia Roberts, Robert Redford, Meg Ryan, Hugh Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Christopher Reeves, Diane Lane, and Cary Grant…
